Are you one of those people who like to see where authors work? What kind of environment they’re inserted in, what type of things they keep on their desk? Well, then, this post is for you!

This is what my “office” looks like! It’s a corner in my bedroom. I started using it a couple of years ago, and it was an upgrade from my previous office—the couch.

This was my actual view as I was thinking of what to write about this week. Those post-it notes contain several deadlines for writing submissions and names of journals I want to write for.
To my right: my mouse, my generic mousepad, and my purple water bottle (you’ll notice there’s a lot of purple among my stuff).
This is the key to creativity. I got it from NaNoWriMo one year, I think it was a special gift they were sending donors. I kept it tied to the laptop cord ever since.
This is a fish.
This is the top of my lamp. I have two HP keychains and an origami butterfly I glued to a wire. When I was setting up this space, I planned to make a lot of these butterflies and glue them on the wall. I still have only this one.
To my left: my bujo, a notebook, and a pouch full of writing supplies.
This is what it looks like up close. Unicorns!
The pouch’s contents: gel pens, water pens, colored pencils, a regular pencil, a ruler, a sharper, an eraser, a glue stick, a post-it block, colored sticky bookmarks, and two earphones. Do I use all of these? I’m gonna say I do and there’s no one that can prove otherwise.
The notebook and the bujo. Notebook for scribbling post ideas (here and on Instagram), bujo for keeping tasks and deadlines in check.
And you might have noticed this mysterious box in a previous pic. It’s an old make-up box. The original content is long gone…
Seashells collected over the years from my trips to the beach and pearls from an old bracelet (they’re not real). I don’t know what I want to do with them. Do you have any suggestions?
… and this is what I keep inside now. Seashells! Another one of my handicraft projects that I haven’t gotten around to finish yet.
Then, I have stickers! This little rainbow one to the left…
… these writing-related ones to the right. The book is always better, we all know that.
I have this little gem right at the top to remind me that, yes, I can.
And this is what the back of my laptop looks like.
More seashells…
… we are restless things…
… and my absolute favorite! I love this little dude and the sad songs k7!
And, finally, when I’m frustrated, stressed, or tired and lean back on my chair to look up to the sky and ask ‘why, God, why’, this is the view I get. It instantly calms me down. I love plush toys! I’ve given away so many of my old ones, but my collection never stops growing.

  1. it seems sooooo comfy! ♥
I don’t have a desk at home, but I have my own desk at work and it’s always full of Funko Pops, my bullet journal, lots of pens, some books and I always have candy too
